Gary Russell Poulsen passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2020.

He was born on October 3, 1929 at Conda, Idaho the son of Willard Smith and Elizabeth Lakey Poulsen.

He moved to Soda Springs wen he started High School and lived there until he graduated in 1947.

He served in the Army in 1949 until 1953 during the Korean War and the last year of services he was transferred to the Aleutian Islands and Alaska during which he married Nelly Lou Kelly and moved her there, and then he was later discharged.  After being discharged they moved back to Soda Springs where he was employed by Monsanto until his retirement.

Gary is survived by three sons and their spouses, Jerry and Mary Poulsen of Aurora, Colorado, Dr. James Kelly and Becky Poulsen of Eagle, Idaho, Terry and Teresa Poulsen of Soda Springs, Idaho.  Also surviving are six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents and his brother.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, September 4, 2020 at 1 p.m. at the Soda Springs Fairview Cemetery.
