Gary Lynn Stoor, 83, of Soda Springs, Idaho passed away on Thursday, July 24, 2014 at his home. Gary was born on June 5, 1931 in Conda, Idaho the son of Vern and Jennie Averel Stoor. He lived in Wayan and Conda for a few years before they moved to Pocatello for a few years before the family moved to Soda Springs where they owned Stoors Grocery. Gary attended Soda Springs Highs School and later attended College in Moscow, ID to become a Civil Engineer. He also served in the U.S. Air Force. He married LaDean Bennett in December , 1952 in Grace, Idaho. They were later divorced. He married Sharleen Cox on June 25, 1983 in Elko, Nevada. He owned a Surveying and Engineering business in Soda Springs. He enjoyed golfing. He is survived by his wife Sharleen Stoor of Soda Springs, ID, a son, Bruce Stoor of New Orleans, Louisiana, and a daughter Diane and Brent Krebbs of Grace, ID. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Vern and Jenny Stoor and two brothers, Jack Stoor and Tommy Stoor. Services will be held on Monday, July 28, 2014 at Noon at the Soda Springs 1st Ward Chapel (361 S. 3rd E.). The family will visit with friends on Monday morning from 10-11:30 a.m. at the Church prior to services. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery in Soda Springs.
