George Lee Mansfield, 77, of Ogden, Utah passed away at his home Wednesday, December 16, 2015.
George was born on April 19, 1938 in Grace, Idaho the son of John Bates Mansfield and Manilla Trappett Mansfield.
He was raised in Plymouth, Utah and attended School in Portage, UT, near the Washakie Indian Reservation.
George Married Edythe May Derbyshire on March 6, 1959 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. She passed away on December 14, 2006.
He married Judy Sant on December 28, 2007 in Wendover, Nevada.
He enjoyed hunting, horseback riding, fishing, Farming and Ranching.
George is survived by his wife Judy Mansfield, and four sons and a daughter, Greg & Renae Mansfield of Chubbuck, ID, John Mansfield of Pocatello, ID, Robert Mansfield of Soda Springs, ID, Brett and Coral Mansfield of Grace, ID, Shauna and Matt Banning of Nampa, ID. Also surviving are 19 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, a brother Mark Mansfield and a sister Alta Chlarson. He was preceded in death by his wife Edythe May, one daughter Karen Prowell, two brothers Dewey and Lorenzo Mansfield, a sister Irene Shafer and one great-grandchild.
Services will be held on Monday, December 21, 2015 at 11 at the Grace LDS Stake Center. Family will visit with friends on Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Grace Stake Center and also on Monday morning from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to services. Burial will be in the Grace Cemetery.
