Gerald Whitney Allen, 27; passed away on Friday, July 13, 2018.

He was born on October 12, 1990 the son of Kip S. and Daphne Kathleen Anderson Allen.

Gerald was a life long resident of Soda Springs where he attended Elementary School and was later Homeschooled for two years and then completed and graduated from Caribou High School.

He married Shelby Dawn Cutler on August 7, 2015, in Soda Springs.

A highlight of his younger years was spending time at Camp Perkins (Lutheran Church Camp). He also participated and help arrange skateboard exhibitions at the City Park in Soda Springs. He was also involved with family business ventures but enjoyed the ventures the most when he traveled out of town for various venues.

He was a member of the Caribou County Fire Dept. for two years.

Gerald enjoyed going dirt biking, playing in the garden with his son Karter and painting model cars with him also. He loved spending time with family. He also enjoyed to be with and in nature and reading the dictionary.

He is survived by his wife, Shelby Dawn Allen and a son, Karter Allen. He is also survived by his parents Kip and Daphne Allen of Montpelier, ID, and mother and father-in-law Mark and Carrie Cutler of Soda Springs, ID, and grandparents John and Vada Anderson of McPherson, KS, and Carol Allen of Soda Springs, ID and four brothers Josse Allen of Preston, ID, Tanner Allen of Soda Springs, ID, Damien Allen of Soda Springs, ID and Trever Allen of Pocatello, ID and one sister Chantelle (Will) Cowan. He was preceded in death by Grandfather Ray Allen.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Soda Springs High School Auditorium. Family will visit with friends on Friday evening from 7-9 p.m. at the Sims Funeral Home and on Saturday morning from 9-10 a.m. at the School prior to services.

In Lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to the Gerald Allen Memorial Fund at US Bank.
