Obituary

Glenn V. Turner, 83; of Smithfield, Utah passed away Thursday, July 29, 2010 at his home.

Glenn was born April 27, 1927 in Harlem, Montana the son of Henry and Ila Olsen Turner.

He was raised and educated in Grace, Idaho. He graduated from Grace High School and also attended Farm Business Management program at Idaho State University and received his 3 year certificate in 1993. He had lived in Grace for 75 years where he owned and operated a dairy farm and has lived in Smithfield for the past 8 years.

He married Carol Fraser September 10, 1946 in the LDS Temple in Idaho Falls, Idaho.

Glenn was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and had served a Stake Missionary, High Counselor, Stake Mission President and a Logan Temple Officiator for 12 years.

He was also a Caribou County Commissioner for 4 years and also served on the WDCI Dairy Board from 1987-1993. He was also on the Grace School Board. He received the United Dairymen of Idaho Hall of Fame in 1998.

Glenn is survived by his wife Carol and two daughters, Lezlie and Dean Clegg of Smithfield, UT; Sandra and Johnny Andersen of Pocatello, ID. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren and one sister Neva and Bill Nielsen of Grace, ID. He was preceded in death by a son David Glenn Turner and a brother Jay Turner.

Services were held on Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at Noon at the Smithfield LDS 21st Ward Chapel (345 East 300 South). Graveside Services were held at the Lago Cemetery in Lago, Idaho at 4 p.m.
