Bancroft, Hal Toolson, 86, passed away Wednesday June 1, 2016 in Pocatello, ID. Hal was born June 18, 1929 in Soda Springs, ID. The son of John Harold and Syble Haskell Toolson. Hal grew up in Bancroft and graduated from North Gem High School in 1947. Hal was a member of the LDS Church. He was the oldest of two boys. He served in the army in the Korean War. He lived 3 years in Colbolt, ID where he worked in a mine. In 1967 Hal returned to Bancroft to run the family store with his mom after his dad unexpectedly passed away. Hal enjoyed hunting, fishing, and visiting with the many customers of the store. Hal married Dianne Roberts Barker on December 2, 1972 in Elko, NV. Hal and his wife have run the family store in Bancroft for the last 49 years. He had been an active supporter of the community and its activities. Hal is proceeded in death by his parents and one brother Gerald Toolson.

Funeral Services will be conducted Monday, June 6 at noon in the Bancroft LDS Chapel. Friends may call on Monday at the chapel from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Interment will be in the Bancroft Cemetery with Military Honors. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to a charity of choice.
