Helen Francis Dingman Foster, 81, of Bancroft, Idaho, passed away May 30, 2023 at home, surrounded by her family.

Helen was born on March 14, 1942 in Guthrie Center, Iowa to Francis and Helen Boyd Dingman.

She married Richard Foster on December 16, 1961 at The Little Brown Church in the Vale in Nashua, Iowa.  She lived in Garner Iowa, Charles City, Iowa. She lived in Swea City, Iowa for more than 14 years where she and Rich raised their family.  She and Rich moved to Lakeview, Iowa after their kids graduated, then she moved to Fowler Colorado after her and Rich retired.   She spent the last 4 years of her life in Bancroft, Idaho where she moved to be closer to her daughter and family including her grandchildren and great grandchildren, who she loved deeply and brought so much joy to her.

Helen was a member of the Methodist Church.  She enjoyed decorating her home, antiques, crafts, flowers, playing games with her husband and family, traveling, spending time with her family and grandkids.   She loved being outside on her deck enjoying her beautiful back yard that Rich spent so much time on.

She is survived by her husband, Richard , of Bancroft, Idaho, a son Jim and Ly Foster of Granger, Iowa and Jill and Steve Askew, of Bancroft, Idaho.  She is also survived by grandchildren Taylor, Nellie, Riley, Cheyanne and Chase.  She is survived by her brothers Darl Dingman of Atlanta, Georgia and Boyd Dingman (Diana) of Omaha, Nebraska and one sister, Ginger Swaney of Hampton, Iowa.

Helen is preceded in death by her loving parents, sisters Gerada and Darlene and a brother, Jim, one nephew, Lance Nesbitt and a niece Desiree Dingman.

Per Helen's wishes she has been cremated.  Memorial services will be announced at a later date at Iowa's Veterans Cemetery in Van Meter, Iowa.

Services are under the direction of Sims Funeral Home in Soda Springs, Idaho.
