Helen Irene Blackburn Isle, 96, of Nampa, formerly Boise, died Sunday, July 4, 2010 at home.
Helen was born July 7, 1913 at Florence, Kansas the daughter of Joseph and Amy Blackburn.
Helen moved with her Family from Florence, Kansas to Soda Springs, Idaho when she was three months old. It was there that she lived, attended school, married and raised her family. She moved from Soda Springs in 2000 to be near her family.
On December 3, 1932 Helen married Myron Austin Isle in Randolph, UT.
Helen is survived by her children, Bill (Della) of Idaho Falls, Irene (Bill) Godby of Meridian, Keith (Beth) of Aztec, New Mexico, and Val (Karen) of Boise, Idaho, 12 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 brother, Walter Blackburn, three sisters, Ethel Childs, Nelda Haggerty and Alice Wardle, her husband of 60 years, Myron, daughters Patsy Lou, Mary Kaye, one son, Earl Wayne, one grandson and 2 great grandsons.
We want to express our deep appreciation to Laura, Tammy, Jennifer, Megan, Lee, Tatum, Chaplain Brian Kristen and all those at St. Luke's Hospice. You were all sent by God to comfort our family.
A funeral service were held at 10:00 a.m., on Tuesday July 6, at the Alden-Waggoner Funeral Chapel, Boise. There were also funeral service in Soda Springs at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 7, at the Presbyterian Church. Friends visitedwith the familyat the Sims Funeral Home one hour prior to services. Burial was in the Fairview Cemetery, Soda Springs.
