Obituary

Helen Margaret Langedyke, 75; of Soda Springs passed away Friday, May 6, 2011 at the Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello.

Helen was born February 29, 1936 the daughter of Peter and Ella Ambrosius Siebers in Little Chute, Wisconsin.

She was raised in Little Chute, Wisconsin and lived there for 18 years and graduated from High School.

Helen married Richard Langedyke on June 10, 1954 in Little Chute, Wisconsin.
They lived in Neosho, Missouri for two years before moving to St. Petersburg, Florida where they lived for 14 years. They then moved to Soda Springs, Idaho where they have lived for the past 41 years.

She was an active member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church and a member of the Catholic Women's Organization, a member of the Legion of Mary. She had also been president of the Deanery, lector, member of Parish Council and a supporter of the Seminarians of the Priesthood.

Helen was very active and enjoyed serving as Den Mother for Boy Scouts, and volunteered at her children's schools, took care of foster children, collected donations for charities, sponsored a less fortunate child in a foreign country. She also enjoyed visiting the residents at the assisted living center.

She loved fishing, camping, hunting, reading, crossword puzzles and jigsaw puzzles, bowling and playing cards.

Helen is survived by her husband Richard of Soda Springs, ID; two sons and two daughters, Jeff and Kay Langedyke of Soda Springs, ID; Steve and LeAnn Langedyke of Soda Springs, ID; Susan and Murrell King of Pocatello, ID; Karen and Dennis Greene of Soda Springs, ID. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren and two brothers, Robert Siebers and Clifford Siebers both of Appleton, WI; and three sisters Mary Ludtke of Little Chute, WI; Jan Gonnering of Freedom, WI; Sara Sprister of Viola, WI. She was preceded in death by a son, Nick Langedyke; her parents Peter and Ella Siebers; a brother Norbert Siebers and a sister Joan Hermsen.

Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Soda Springs. Rosary and Vigil service will be held at 6 p.m. at St. Mary's Church on Tuesday evening and the family will visit with friends from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Burial will be at the Fairview Cemetery in Soda Springs.
