One of Heavenly Father's sweetest daughters returned home to him Wednesday Feb. 8, 2017 at 12:57 a.m. in Ogden, UT surrounded by her loving family.
Hope Wood, age 41, our beautiful daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin, sweetheart, and special friend was born Nov. 17, 1975 to Ned Opheikens and Claudia Sims Opheikens. She is the youngest child and only daughter with four brothers
Troy (Holly), Shane, Tyree (Deana) and Heath (Sabrina) who adored her.
She graduated from Roy High School and worked at IRS and Wonder Bread. Her favorite jobs were working alongside the Love of her life, Tony Lopez, pushing snow and building fences.
Hope's many talents and hobbies include counted cross stitch, crochet, word search puzzles, camping and fishing. She loved BBQ'ing for the family and yard work. Her greatest joy was caring for Tony, her 12 precious grandchildren and her dogs
Coda, Smokie, Nala.
Hope was a t-shirt and jeans girl who loved to work. She was always there when someone needed help from roofing to fence building to shoveling snow, mowing the lawn or weeding.
She always had a smile on her face and never said goodbye without a hug for everyone.
She is survived by her darling daughter Paige, her parents, brothers, her loving companion Tony, his children, Tanisha (Marcus), Alisha, Alex (Sara) and Izacc (Lesly), the grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents Kate (Catherine) and Jack Sims and June and Henry Opheikens.
