Obituary

Ila Mae Beckstead Rasmussen passed away with dignity and grace in Soda Springs, Idaho on Friday, February 1, 2019.

She was born on January 2, 1934 to Charles France and Rosa Lucene Adams Beckstead in Niter, Idaho.
Ila Mae was born and raised in the Grace area and graduated from Grace High School in 1952.

On September 12, 1952 she married Carl Jr. Rasmussen in the Logan LDS Temple. They were the loves of each other's lives for 67 years. Together they had four children, Kim C (Diana) Rasmussen, of Roosevelt, UT, Patti Jo (Steve) Roedel of Cedar City, UT, Janet Rasmussen of St. George, UT and Bart Jr. Rasmussen who passed away in 1985.

Ila Mae went back to school at 50 years of age to become an LPN. This was a dream of hers from a very early age and was a great accomplishment. She was also a very accomplished artist. Most of her children and grandchildren cherish her paintings that they feel lucky to have.

She is survived by her husband Carl Jr. Rasmussen, three children and 14 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren and one sister Frances Frazier of Willard, UT. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son Bart and two brothers and four sisters.

Her celebration of life will be held Saturday, February 9 at Noon at the Grace LDS Stake Center. There will be a visitation Friday from 6-7 p.m. at the Church and also Saturday from 10:30-11:30 a.m. prior to services.

The family would like to thank everyone for the kind and compassionate care she received at the Caribou Memorial Living Center.
