Obituary

Irene Walton Harris, 97; of Grace passed away Friday, March 26, 2010 at the Caribou Memorial Hospital in Soda Springs.

Irene was born November 29, 1912 in Cleveland, Idaho the daughter of John Bias and Charity Francis Ames Walton.

She had lived in Klamath Falls, Oregon for about one year and Pocatello, Idaho for two years, and Cleveland, Idaho for five years and in Grace, Idaho for 55 years.

Irene married Theo Albert Harris on March 20 1929 in Cleveland, Idaho. They were later solemnized on August 31, 1991 in the Logan LDS Temple.

She and her husband owned and operated the Black Canyon Motel in Grace, Idaho.

Irene was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She had served as a Relief Society teacher and a secretary in Young Womens.
She worked in Ladies Auxiliary for 21 years and belonged to a local pinochle club. She also loved planting flowers.

She is survived by one son and two daughters, Gary Theo Harris of Salem, Oregon; Patricia Ann Strong of Preston, Idaho; Vicki Lynne Phillips of Grace, Idaho. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband a daughter Maxine Luby Harris Parkhouse and a granddaughter Richele Viehweg and 4 sisters and 5 brothers.

Services were held on Friday, April 2, 2010 at Noon at the Grace LDS Stake Center. Burial was in the Grace Cemetery.
