Obituary

Vernal John "Jack" Lund, 82, of Soda Springs, passed away Sunday, October 19, 2008 at the Caribou Memorial Living Center.

He was born September 2, 1926 at Brigham City, Utah the son of Vernal H. and Mona Caddy Lund.

He was raised and educated in Brigham City until 1953 when he moved to Soda Springs.
Jack married Shirley Ann Lowe, February 5, 1951 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

He was an electrician and worked for Monsanto Company in Soda Springs, retiring in 1979.
Jack served in the U S Navy during WWII. He was a member of the American Legion.

He was a member of the Soda Springs Shooting Club and a lifelong member of the N.R.A. He enjoyed guns, shooting, fishing, camping, fly tying, reloading, taxidermy and photography.

Jack is survived by his wife Shirley Lund, Soda Springs; 1 son and 1 daughter and their spouses; Kenneth J. and Vicki Lund, Soda Springs; and Kathy and Nathan Warren, Albion, ID; also 5 grandchildren 7 great-grandchildren, 4 brothers and 2 sisters; Rod and Nancy Lund, Ogden, UT; Dennis and Louise Lund, Brigham City, UT; Bob and Nancy Lund, Brigham City, UT ; Doug and Judy Lund, Pahrump, Nevada; Sherry and Ron Colby, Tremonton, UT and Loni and Carl Schlaich, Brigham City, UT.
He was preceded in death by a daughter Sally Ann Lund and his parents.

Funeral Services were conducted on Friday, October 24th at Noon at the Soda Springs Baptist Church located at 1st N and 3 E, with Pastor David Zimmerman officiating. Burial was in the Fairview Cemetery with Military Honors by the American Legion.
