Jacqueline (Jackie) Coombs Moore passed away on June 8, 2022 at the age of 89. She was born in Lago, Idaho on March 9, 1933 to David Jesse and Bernice Bassett Coombs. She had an older sister, Colleen, and a younger brother, Donald. The family resided in Lago until Jackie was 12. They moved to Soda Springs where her father started his own business, Coombs Electric. Jackie graduated from Soda Springs High School in 1951.
Shortly after graduation she married Dean Moore. They lived in Soda Springs the rest of their lives. Jackie and Dean had three children: Linda, Steven and Lori. Dean passed away in April of 2000.
Jackie had an artistic spirit. She loved any kind of art project, especially oil and tole painting. She made her home a beautiful place to be. Jackie also liked to cook and bake, garden, camp and fish, and enjoyed her bridge club and time with friends.
Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Dean Moore, as well as her sister, Colleen Leavitt, and brother, Donald Coombs.
Surviving Jackie are her three children: Linda (Fred) Van Dyke in Mancelona, Michigan, Steven D. (Kaye) Moore in Soda Springs, Idaho, and Lori Moore (Richard Firkins) in Pocatello, Idaho. Also surviving are grandchildren Rachel Van Dyke-Stipick, Liel Van Dyke Wilwerding, Jamie Ackerman, and Clayton Ackerman, as well as step-grandchildren Travis Kator, Corinne Steinbrenner, and Kristen Kator. In additional, Jackie is survived by 3 great grandchildren and 4 step great grandsons, a brother-in-law, Lee Leavitt, and many dear nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Friday, June 17, 2022 at 11 a.m. at the Sims Funeral Home. Family will meet with friends on Friday morning from 10-10:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Soda Springs Fairview Cemetery.
