On Thursday, August 1, 2019, James (Jim) E. Crawford, loving husband and father, passed away at the age of 86.

Jim was born on October 22, 1932 in Soda Springs, Idaho to Leslie E. and Bernie (Morgan) Crawford. He was raised in Wayan, Idaho. He spent several years working for Monsanto, and upon retirement, he returned to Wayan, and to the ranching life that he had grown up with.

On June 22, 1953, he married Shirley Swensen and they had three children, Janette (Brayton) Paul, Diane Crawford, and Alan Crawford. They later divorced.

On September 16, 1972 Jim married, Earlene Holden, which also brought four more children into his life. Travene (Niel) Armstrong, Becky (Rick) Christensen, Sally (Craig) Hill, and Dusty (Darla) Rose.

Jim loved to travel, see new places and meet new people. This passion was greatly shared with the love of his life, Earlene. Together, they shared a great love in all things. They enjoyed the ranch life and discovering the many wonders of the outdoors and nature. When not at the ranch, they were enjoying exploring great places in Arizona. Jim had a fun sense of humor and always enjoyed telling a good story.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Les and Bernie Crawford, and a son-in-law, Brayton Paul. He is survived by his wife Earlene, his sister, Phyllis (Ralph) Ubico, his children, and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Services will be held on Monday, August 5 at 11 a.m. at the Hooper LDS Chapel. The family will visit with friends on Monday morning from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the Church prior to services.

Burial will follow at the Fairview Cemetery in Soda Springs.
