Obituary

Jared Trent Rasmussen, 39; of Grace passed away Saturday, December 5, 2009 in Pocatello in an automobile accident.

Jared was born September 8, 1970 in Soda Springs, Idaho the son of Lynn and Glenna Steele Rasmussen.

Jared was raised and educated in Grace graduating from Grace High and the LDS Seminary Program. He had lived in Lago, ID; Phoenix, AZ, and Soda Springs, ID.
He graduated from Universal Technical Institute of Phoenix, Arizona.

Jared married Lisa Caldwell in April 1992 in Soda Springs. They were later divorced.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Jared had worked for Agrium, Mullen Crane, Bailey's Trucking, Presto Products, Vaughan Smith Construction, Mark III and with his family at the Thunder Mountain Elk Ranch.

He was a member of the Oregon Trail Golf Course and the Caribou Field Archers.

He loved his kids and spending time with them. He also enjoyed horn hunting and collecting, golfing, snowmobiling, water skiing, driving tractors, hunting and especially fishing with his children Shayley and Trenton. Jared also loved hanging out with all his hunting buddies.

He is survived by a son Trenton Lynden of Soda Springs, ID; and a daughter Shayley Lynn of Kalispell, MT; and his parents Lynn and Glenna Rasmussen of Grace, ID; his grandma Myrle Steele of Soda Springs, ID; and two brothers Billy and Stacey Rasmussen of Soda Springs, ID; Danny and Wendy Rasmussen of Grace, ID; and two sisters Cami and Jeremy Taggart of Grace, ID; and Jeni and Jeremy Burr of Salt Lake City, UT.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Val Steel, Carl and Beryl Rasmussen, and cousins Devin Beckstead, Jason Hildreth, Bart Rasmussen and an uncle Billy Steele.

Services wer held on Wednesday, December 9, 2009 at Noon at the Thatcher-Williams Ward Chapel in Niter. Burial was in the Lago Cemetery.

In Lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to the trust fund for his children at the US Bank in Soda Springs.
