Jean Ann Meiners Hunter 81 years old was born on 30th of March 1938, in Lund, Idaho to John Henry Meiners Jr. and Mary Anderson Meiners. She was the oldest of five children growing up on a farm helping her family raising livestock and growing crops. Jean met the love of her live Dean at a early childhood and love was true. They were married September 29, 1955 in the Logan Temple in Utah. They then moved to Pocatello to raise their 5 children. Upon raising their children they moved to McCammon and lived there for 40 years. Jean Ann passed away in her home with Dean by her side after a long illness on February 14, 2020.
Jean Ann was an accomplished bookkeeper, but her passion was being a home maker. She made clothes for her family and many others who knew her for her sewing talents. Jean Ann enjoyed sewing, quilting, knitting, tatting, almost anything related to fabric. She was a great resource to local humanitarian services. Along with sewing Jean Ann enjoyed horses, genealogy, traveling and of course her family.
She is survived by her husband Dean of McCammon, Cindy (Guy)Dunham of McCammon, Bryan (Debbie) of Pocatello, Tracy (Rodger) Roudloph of Roy Ut., Mickey (Heather) Greenwell Springs LA, Lesley (Jeff) Greenwell of Inkom.
Jean Ann had 8 Grand children and 14 Great grand children.
She is survived by her sister Karen Modersitzki of Chesterfield, brother Bill Meiners of McCammon, and sister Jody Harmon Cokeville WY.
Jean Ann is preceded in death by her parents and brother John Henry III.
Services will be held on Thursday, February 20 at 11 a.m. at the Bancroft LDS Ward Chapel. Family will visits with friends on Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Bancroft Church and also on Thursday morning from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to service. Burial will be in the Lund Cemetery.
