Obituary

Jean Meadows Moulton passed away March 5, 2015 at the age of 87.

Jean was born in Salt Lake City Utah to Ronald and Hilda Meadows on October 4, 1927. She was raised on her family's farm in Holiday, Utah along with her 2 brothers Art and Leonard. She attended school there and graduated from Granite High School. She loved spending time outside playing with friends and family and riding her horse throughout the area.

Jean married Carl (Kip) Moulton in Holiday, Utah May 29, 1945. They lived their lives and raised their children in the Salt Lake City area. They later moved to Woodland, Utah and then to Grace, Idaho where she spent the last years of her life. She spent her life working alongside Kip in the family business. They loved spending time in the outdoors and spent most weekends either camping, jeeping , fishing and shooting or boating with the family. Jean always had a dog that was part of her family and she enjoyed teaching them tricks and spending time with them.

She was an exceptional seamstress and enjoyed sewing clothing, quilts and auto upholstery. She was also an excellent cook and enjoyed entertaining family and friends. She always had treats on hand for coffee break and any unexpected company.

Jean was a very kind, sweet and giving person and found beauty in everything around her. She enjoyed spending time with all her friends and touched everyone's life that she met. She was a member of the local Red Hats and Daughters of the Mormon Pioneers. Her family was always the most important part of her life and she loved going to all family outings and attending any event that her family was participating in. She was so proud of everyone and their accomplishments. She will be greatly missed by many at Kaycee and Dani's basketball games, sports and dance recitals. When she couldn't be there she always wanted to be kept up to date on the scores and how the kids were doing. She was always telling everyone about all of her wonderful, smart grandkids and family. She loved the great outdoors up to her last days, loved the time she spent camping and fishing and riding in the jeeps.

She is survived by her children, Dan Moulton of Whitefish, Montana, and JoAnn (Brent) Madsen of Soda Springs. She has 10 grandchildren including Angie (Jody) Smith of Soda Springs, ID. and Brent (Christy) Madsen JR of Acton, CA., She has 20 great grandchildren and 7 great- great grandchildren.

The family will host an open house at her home on March 21, 2015 from 4 to 6 for any one that wishes to remember her great life and share their memories (1190 N Highway 34 Grace, Id).
