Jeannette "Jeannie" Peterson Prida, 68; of Soda Springs passed away Friday, April 9, 2010 in the Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello, Idaho.
Jeannie was born May 7, 1941 the daughter of Kenneth and Lessa Gifford Way in Erie Pennsylvania.
At the age of 8 or 9 she moved with her family to Southern California. She graduated from High School in California and continued her education by attending a school for Secretarial work.
She married Donald Broad and they had three wonderful boys, Donald, Dale and Dan.
Jeannie and Donald were later latter divorced.
In 1972 she moved to Idaho where she made many life-long friends. In 1985 she moved back to California and she met Victor Prida. They were married on July 3, 2004 and they moved back to Soda Springs, Idaho where she called home.
She worked as a counselor for abused women and also had many other jobs that she excelled at and loved.
She enjoyed quilting, gardening, square dancing and remodeling houses.
Jeannie is survived by her husband Victor of Soda Springs, ID; and three sons, Donald Broad of Merino Valley, CA; Dale Broad of Merino Valley, CA; Dan Broad of Vancouver, WA. Also surviving are 6 loving grandchildren, one brother Ronald Way of Los Angeles, CA; and three sisters, Judy Cornet of Roseburg, OR; Becky Adams of Central California; Caroline Bonneville of Tombstone, AZ. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, May 8, 2010 at 11 a.m. at the Sims Funeral Home in Soda Springs, Idaho.
