Jerry Berg, 82; of Soda Springs passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2020.

Jerry was born on April 24, 1938 in Afton, Wyoming the son of Ezra and Helen K. Christensen Berg.

Jerry moved to St Anthony, Idaho and lived there until after his mission that he served in British Columbia and Edmonton, Alberta Canada.  He attended Rick College and Santa Ana College in California.

He then moved to Garden Grove California where he met his wife.  He married Sharon Rae Bates on November 1, 1962 in Los Angeles, California.  They lived in Huntington Beach California until moving to Soda Springs, Idaho where he has resided until his passing.

Jerry enjoyed working with the Boy Scouts and going to the Wind Rivers.  He also enjoyed working on guns.  He went hunting for years until it got a little to hard.  He did photography and also enjoyed leather working and making holsters, gun cases, gun powder pouches.  He also loved fishing and tying his own flies.

He is survived by his wife Sharon Rae Berg of Soda Springs, ID, and one son Darren Berg of Cottonwood Heights, UT, and five daughters, Melanie and Steven Sparrow of Preston, ID, Allison and Brad Jorgensen of Pocatello, ID, Jamie and Glen Loader of Richland, WA, Lisa Berg Sparrow of Pocatello, ID, Amy Berg of Spokane, WA.  He is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren and 1 due in September, also two sisters, Joann (Vince) Saltarelli of Indio, CA and DarLa Berg Guenther of California.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen K. Carlson, Stepfather Ted Carlson, Father, Ezra Berg and Stepmother Margaret Berg, one granddaughter and one great-granddaughter, one brother Leland Berg and one sister Judy Carlson.

As Jerry requested, he was cremated and no services will be held at this time.
