Jimmie "Jim" Lee O'Dell, 60 of Soda Springs, passed away Wednesday, May 7, 2008 in Soda Springs. He was born July 19, 1947 at Bartlesville, Oklahoma the son of Edgar Lee and Tiny Juanita Sanders O'Dell.
He married Gayle D Anderson, December 17, 1976 in Aberdeen, Idaho. She passed away September 22, 2004.
Jim was raised and educated in Oklahoma, graduating from Nelagonei High School in 1965. He had also lived in Oregon and the last 27 years in Soda Springs.
Jim served in the U S Army from 1965 to 1967.
He was a welder and worked in construction. He had also worked for Chemical Lime.
Jim was considered a "Jack of all Trades". He was associated with the geyser wagon rides in Soda Springs.
He enjoyed horse back riding, hunting and fishing.
Jim is survived by 2 sons and 2 daughters: Joey O'Dell, Pocatello, ID; Jimmie O'Dell, Paul, ID; Tauna Michaelson, Soda Springs and Susan Beckstead, Pocatello. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and a sister, Pat Blair, Guthrie, OK.
He was also preceded in death by his parents.
Graveside Services were conducted on Monday, May 12th at the Fairview Cemetery in Soda Springs.
