Joseph "Joe" Willard Morgan, 36; of Lund, Idaho passed away Thursday, May 13, 2010 in an automobile accident.
Joe was born, November 28, 1973 in Montpelier, Idaho the son of Fredrick Willard and Ruby Krusell Morgan.
He was raised and educated in Soda Springs where he was active in football, Baseball and a member of the State Championship Wrestling Team. He graduated from Soda Springs High School in 1992. He also attended the University of Idaho in Moscow. During his high school years Joe worked at Lew & Dans Grocery store, helping to hone his outstanding work ethics. He also worked at Conda Mining, and finally for Agrium for over 12 years. He was well known for his many hours of commitment to the plant.
Joe married JoLin Bowen August 26, 2005. Along with her he gained a step-daughter "Loyd", his nick name for Natalie. He loved irritating her like he did his sisters when he was growing up.
Joe was an avid outdoorsman and horse whisperer. After whispering something "unknown" to one of his horses, a rodeo would soon follow, allowing him to show off his riding, landing and horse catching skills. Joe liked tying flies and using them on the local rivers and streams. He also liked lake fishing from his boat. Joe enjoyed bird hunting of all types and was very good at it. He also enjoyed success hunting big game with his recurve bow and hand made arrows. When Joe could find the time he would help keep the local mountain lion population in good shape by running them with his trusty hounds, Bonnie & Clyde. He especially liked working with wood and the challenge of completing a project while hunting for tools hidden by his 2 1/2 year old helper Cooper.
If you were lucky enough to know Joe, you considered him a friend. He was as good and honest as they get, a good ole boy! In time we know our tears will turn to smiles as we think of him and see his quirks passed on through his children. His early departure has reminded us all of the importance and love of family and friends. We love you Joe! You will be greatly missed.
