John, also known to many of his friends as "Johann," was born in Soda Springs, Idaho, on May 24, 1973. John spent his early years in Georgetown, Pocatello and Las Vegas before moving to Grace, Idaho, at the age of five. John kicked up a lot of dust and graduated from Grace High School in 1991. He tried his hand at school at ISU and at music in Las Vegas and Los Angeles before settling down in Pocatello for the rest of his life.

John lived by the beat of his own drum. He enjoyed and had many close relationships with a diverse group of friends and colleagues. Work served as a means to allow him to pursue his passions.

John was a gifted guitar player and started his first band in eighth grade, beginning his lifelong passion for music. John composed, wrote, recorded and occasionally performed music throughout his life. He was an avid cinephile and voraciously consumed movies. He enjoyed gaming and grew and maintained many friendships over the years with his gaming buddies near and far. Ever mischievous, John gleefully enjoyed teasing his nieces and nephews and doing laps with them on thrill rides.

John is survived by his parents, Greg and Marian London of Grace, his brother Jeff and Jamie London of Hailey, his sister Jill and Stephen Williams of Logan, and nieces and nephews Cade, Seth, Lucy, Lilybeth, Archer and Eleanor. John's dogs, Hangman and Persephone, are growing accustomed to their new brothers and sisters in Grace.

John's light burned bright and hot. This world held him as long as it could. He now shines somewhere else, but is forever a part of his family and those who knew him.

John didn't enjoy funerals or celebrations of sadness. To honor John's wishes, a small celebration of life gathering will be announced when the time is right to close friends and family.
