John Howard Tarbet, 39; of Soda Springs, Idaho passed away on March 17, 2022.

John was born on August 30, 1982, in Pocatello, Idaho the son of David Ray and Sandra Lee Tarbet.

He attended school in Soda Springs, graduating from High School in 2002.  He then attended Idaho State University graduating with an associate degree in welding.  After college, he worked for Premier Technology in Blackfoot, as well as Mark III and Zachary in Soda Springs.

He married Tiffani Staley on July 10, 2004, in Grace, Idaho.  Their first son Cameron John was born in June of 2008 followed by Kaden Edward in November of 2011. John and Tiffani later divorced.

John was a member of the LDS church. He was a talented artist and metal fabrication specialist. His favorite holiday was Christmas and would spend days decorating the outside of his homes. He won Christmas light display awards for his efforts.  John enjoyed atv riding, especially hitting the dunes in St. Anthony, Pismo, and Coos Bay with his brother-in-law Travis Kator. He was a jokester and always had a dad joke on hand.  He loved to laugh. His greatest joy came from spending time building Legos and playing video games with his sons.

He is survived by his two sons, Cameron John Tarbet and Kaden Edward Tarbet both of Ammon, ID, his father David R. Tarbet and mother Sandra L. Tarbet both of Soda Springs, ID, his sister, Stephanie (Travis) Kator and nephew John Michael Kator of Soda Springs, ID.  He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Howard and Ruby Sortor and paternal grandparents, Ray and Alice Tarbet and many loving Aunts and Uncles.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2022, at 1:30 p.m. at the Soda Springs Fairview Cemetery.
