Jon C. Hall returned home to his Heavenly Father and the love of his life on October 14, 2014, after a courageous battle with ALS. Jon was born on March 2, 1955, in Preston, Idaho to Lee and Sandra Choules Hall. He was raised and educated in Grace, Idaho. Jon graduated from Soda Springs High School in 1973. In May of 1973 he met Patricia Preece. They married a year later on July 19, 1974. From their union came four children; Jennifer Lee, Jonathan Shaun, Lacey Nikol, & Timothy Dane. Jon and Patty raised their family in Soda Springs where they ran a successful construction business for over 30 years. He worked all over the country and in several countries around the world. He enjoyed traveling with his wife and as a result of their business they were able to see and visit many places around the world. He served on several committees for Caribou County. He was a trustee and also served as chairman of the School Board in Soda Springs. He was a member of the Republican Committee where he served as chairman for a time. His most recent position was on the Planning and Zoning Committee for Caribou County. He enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson and KTM dirt bike. He was an aviation enthusiast and enjoyed being involved in politics. Jon is survived by his father, Lee Hall (Preston, ID) wife, Candy Hatch Hall (Chesterfield, ID) 4 children, Jennifer (Ted) Slivinski (Montpelier, ID) Shaun Hall (Atlanta, GA) Lacey Hall (Afton, WY) and Dane Hall (Evanston, WY), and two grandchildren J.T. and Addison Slivinski, Sister, Sindy Koller (Jackson, WY) and brother, Wesley (Lucy) Hall (Bakersfield, CA), and Candy's children and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 38 years, Patricia Preece Hall, mother, Sandra Choules Hall, and brother, W.R. (Dub) Hall. Services will be held on Tues., Oct. 21, 2014 at Noon at the Soda Springs Hooper LDS Chapel. The family will visit with friends on Monday from 6-8 p.m. at the Sims Funeral Home and on Tues. from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the Church prior to services.
