Obituary
Joyce Arletta Barnes, 82; of Grace, Idaho passed away at her home on Wednesday, June 20, 2018.
She was born on January 12, 1936 in Grace, Idaho the daughter of Arthur and Elva Perry Preece.
Joyce graduated from Grace High School in 1954.
She married Loran Dee Bassett November of 1954 in Soda Springs, Idaho. They were later divorced.
She married Joe C Barnes in May 1973 in Grace, Idaho.
Joyce was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
She enjoyed fishing, making canvas art, reading and playing with grandkids. She loved going the church and the Temple and especially spending time with Joe, the love of her life.
She is survived by her husband Joe C Barnes of Grace, ID, and two sons Tom and Kelly Bassett of Soda Springs, ID, Chuck Barnes of Alaska, and four daughters, Teresa Clark of Boise, ID, Charolette Barnes (Aaron Mendez) of Wendover, NV, Leslie and Mike Osborne of Grace, ID, Jenny and Andy Peebles of Reno, NV. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death two brothers and a sister.
Services will be held on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at Noon at the Grace LDS Stake Center. Family will visit with friends on Tuesday morning from 10:30-11:30 a.m. prior to services. Burial will be in the Grace Cemetery.
