Judy Ann Wilson, 76, of Soda Springs passed away on Sunday, September 10, 2017.
Judy was born on June 20, 1941 the daughter of Frank and Edna Gunnell Gamble in Soda Springs, Idaho.
Judy married Lloyd Kern Wilson on December 7, 1957 in Lava Hot Springs, ID at the young age of 16. They lived in Tacoma, WA and Lava Hot Springs for a short time before moving to Bancroft where they lived, worked and raised their three children until the passing of Lloyd on April 19, 1988. Judy has lived in Soda Springs for the past 29 years.
Judy was a bit of a tomboy as she told stories of fishing and working with her dad and she enjoyed working alongside her husband but she was also probably the most polite and lady like woman any of us knew.
She learned to play the accordion as a girl and has always had a love of music and singing. She always wanted to learn to play the guitar and enjoyed taking guitar lessons and practicing over the years.
Judy served as one of Jehovah's Witnesses and she enjoyed being a wife, mother and grandmother. She was a very caring person and had a strong sense of right and wrong which she worked hard to instill in her children. Over the years she enjoyed bowling, fishing, working in the yard planting flowers and has always enjoyed caring for children and the elderly.
It's been hard for her these many years alone since she lost her husband and she most recently had some struggles with her memory but her family will remember her for being a hardworking, caring mom and grandma who was always there for them when they needed her.
Judy is survived by two sons and a daughter, Kevan Lloyd Wilson of Casa Grande, AZ, Darren Kern (Kathy) Wilson of Scottsdale, AZ, Tausha Ann (Gary D.) Vorwaller of Soda Springs, ID. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and a sister Effie Fern Harris. She was preceded in death by her husband, 2 brothers Steve and Jay Dee Gamble, a daughter-in-law Debra Wilson and a brother-in-law Carroll Dean Harris.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, September 15, 2017 at Noon at the Lava Hot Springs Cemetery.
