Julie Ann Perkins, 72 of Chesterfield, Idaho peacefully left this life, to journey to the next, Sunday September 25, 2016 with her loving family by her side.
Julie was born in June of 1944 to Richard and Laura Finlayson, the second of five children. She was welcomed into this family by her older sister Linda Lee. After Julie, came two baby brothers that she loved dearly. First Kenneth, that she adored and then 7 years later, Jim, Julie's favorite! And then to all their surprise, 17 years later came the baby of this blessed lil family, LoraLyn.
Julie was raised in Soda Springs, Idaho and graduated as a proud SSHS Cardinal. She was active in the Cardettes and other school functions. After high school she attended Stevens Henagar College in Salt Lake City, UT.
A rowdy farm boy and handsome young sailor caught Julie's eye in 1964 and she later married Rondo William Perkins on July 10 and they made their first home in Chesterfield, ID and several months later they moved to Conda, ID. In 1966 they moved to Chesterfield, ID to work on the family ranch, which they later purchased, and have lived on for over 50 years.
Being a member of the Chesterfield Ward and in the Relief Society as the secretary for many years, Julie was able to show her compassionate side and share her love of cooking and service to the members of the ward. Many friends, family and neighbors have had the privilege of eating one or more of her famous "Cowboy Cookies" by working for the summer, helping work cattle or just stopping by her home to see her and Rondo.
Julie is survived by the love of her life, Rondo, of Chesterfield, ID. Her children: Bill Perkins of Chesterfield, ID. Ronda Perkins of Basalt, ID. Tonya (Grant) Simons of Chesterfield, ID. and Bobbie (Dave) Garner of Paul, ID. And her pride and greatest joy, 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. But most impressively, her 92 year old mother, Laura Finlayson of Soda Springs, ID.
Julie is preceded in death by her father Richard Finlayson, Sister Linda Lee, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents.
