IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Karen Corbett
Thomas
July 14, 1934 – July 22, 2025
Karen Corbett Thomas, 91, passed away peacefully at Heritage Senior Living on July 22, 2025.
Karen was born on July 14, 1934, in Soda Springs, Idaho, to Dan and Zetta Corbett. She was raised in Grace, Idaho, alongside her siblings Keith, Kathleen, and Kent. A bright and driven student, Karen excelled academically and was active in FHA, Pep Club, and served as Vice President of her senior class. She graduated from Grace High School in May 1952. Karen spent time after graduation taking classes at LDS Business College, teaching dance lessons at Arthur Murray dance studios, and working for Farmers Insurance.
In November 1954, Karen married the love of her life, Howard Thomas. The couple lived in Pocatello while Howard completed welding school and later returned to Grace to build their home and life together. They welcomed their son Kevin in December 1955, followed by their daughter Traci in June 1960.
Karen was a devoted wife and mother, wholeheartedly supporting Howard in his work on the Thomas Family Farm in Turner. After Howard's unexpected passing in 1977, Karen pursued a professional career, working as a real estate agent and later as a bank teller at Ireland Bank.
Karen is survived by her son, Kevin (Denise) Thomas; sister, Kathleen (Gardy) Baldwin; brother, Kent (Marsha) Corbett; granddaughters, Tawna (Brandon) Smith, Shelby (Colin) Nottage, and Whitney (Adam) Green; as well as several beloved great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Thomas; daughter, Traci Hall; son-in-law, William Roy "Dubs" Hall; her parents, Dan and Zetta Corbett; and her brother, Keith Corbett.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 28, at the Grace Cemetery. The family will greet friends at the cemetery from 10:30 a.m. to 10:55 a.m., prior to the service.
The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Heritage Senior Living & Enhabit Hospice for the exceptional care given to our beloved Karen.
