Karl Robert Johnson, age 88, passed away peacefully at home in Soda Springs, ID, surrounded by family on Memorial Day, May 27, 2024. His gentle soul, kindness, and legacy of love were a powerful influence on his posterity. Born March 31, 1936, in Mecham, Oregon, he was a proud veteran of the United States Marines, serving his country during his youth. On July 28, 1954, Karl wed his high school sweetheart, Donna Lee Williams. This year will mark their seventieth wedding anniversary. He was a proficient electrician and a respected figure in the electrical industry, successfully operating his own business servicing electrical power utilities.

Karl's deep connection to the outdoors and nature was a source of inspiration throughout his life. He had a unique ability to understand and appreciate God's creations, a passion that he lovingly passed on to the hearts of his grandchildren.
Karl is survived by his wife of nearly 70 years, Donna; his son Mike Johnson (Karen–Escaida, OR); daughter Kerri Balls (Mark—Soda Springs, ID); daughter Tamara Johnson (Tim Harvey—Virginia Beach, VA); son Rob Johnson (Corinne—Las Vegas, NV); eight grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. His sister Ruth and his brothers Charlie and Bert preceded him in death.
