Obituary

Kathleen (Kitty) Bunderson returned to her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, June 9, 2015. Kitty was born August 9, 1951 the first daughter of Edmond Douglas and Elaine Stringham Johnson in Logan, Utah. Her twin sister, Kathy, was born 4 minutes later. She attended school in Soda Springs and graduated with honors from Soda Springs High School, graduated from Ricks College in 1971, and then attended BYU. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Kitty married James V. Parkhouse III on April 26, 1974 in Soda Springs, and they were divorced. She later married Lyman K. Bunderson on September 22, 1992 in St. Charles Canyon, and they were divorced. For many years, Kitty worked as a guard at Beker Industries (Agrium) and worked for Brent Maughan as a realtor. She loved this job because she got to meet many people and find lots of interesting properties. Kitty lived in Soda Springs and St Charles, ID. Some of the things Kitty loved were horses, softball, writing poetry and fishing with family. She wanted to be the "Fun" aunt and she was! Kitty was adventurous. She was always looking for something to do, someone with whom to visit, or something to see. Kitty was a friend to everyone she met. She had a kind and giving heart and always greeted you with a smile. Kitty is survived by her twin, Kathryn (Kathy) and Brent Martinsen, Jenay Elaine Hodges, Soda Springs, ID, Edmond Douglas and Diane Johnson Jr., Bountiful, UT, and Janice Ann Van Leuven, Pocatello, ID and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Doug and Elaine Johnson and her grandparents, Ted and Mary Johnson and Ben and Pearl Stringham, and brother-in-laws, Kenneth Raye Hodges and Brian Greg Van Leuven. Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at the Soda Springs LDS Stake Center, 290 South 3rd West, Soda Springs, ID. Family will visit friends from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church prior to services. Burial will be in the St. Charles Cemetery with graveside service at 3:00 pm.
