Obituary

Kathryn "Kathy" Davis Fisher, 58, returned to her Heavenly Father surrounded by her family on February 15, 2015. Kathy was born June 15, 1956 in Soda Springs, Idaho. She was the second child of Ronald Jay Davis and Bonnie Jean Harris. Kathy was welcomed to the Davis family by her older sister Karen. Her older sister picked the name Kathryn for the new baby of the family. The family welcomed a set of twins four years later. Ricky and Rodney made the family complete. She lived her entire life in Soda Springs with the exception of a year that the family spent in Thatcher, Idaho taking care of their grandmother. Kathy was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Kathy graduated from Soda Springs High School in 1975. She married Ottis (Rick) Adam Fisher on September 25, 1975. Rick and Kathy welcomed two children to this union. Melodie Dawn was born on March 3, 1976 and quickly followed by Joshua Adam on November 16, 1977. Their time as a family was shortened when Rick passed away as the result of an auto accident on May 19, 1979. Kathy was devoted to her two children and the most amazing mother. She spent her entire life sacrificing for her children and grandchildren. She took her kids on many wild adventures. She was not afraid to take them camping, fishing, fruit picking, to Utah to visit the cousins, or anywhere else for that matter. She was the best at school projects. She would always help create something spectacular. She was a cub scout leader, a 4-H instructor, a girl scout cookie promoter, and above all, their best cheerleader. She was a proud grandma of 9 amazing grandchildren. She loved them dearly and looked forward to any and all events she could support them in. Kathy is survived by her children and their spouses, Melodie (Thor) Conley of Chubbuck, ID, Josh (Jessica) Fisher of Loveland, CO, her grandchildren, Ridge, Cutler, Hudson, Haven, Baden and Rogan Conley and Holland, Brodie and Bonnie Johanna Fisher, and two brothers, Ricky F. Davis, Rodney (Tami) Davis and numerous special nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, her parents Ronald and Bonnie Davis, a sister Karen Davis Jeppsen, a great-niece Taylie Lynne Conger, and many special friends. The family would like to thank the staff at Monte Vista Hills Care Center and Encompass Home Health. A very special thanks to Wendy and Bruce Stoor, Sena Ann and Van Gunnell and Shirley Johnson. The family also appreciates the love and friendship given to her by her care givers Sarah, Shannon, Lynne and Loisa. Services will be held on Saturday, Feb. 21, 2015 at Noon at the Hooper LDS Chapel in Soda Springs. Family will visit friends Friday, 6-8 p.m. at the Sims Funeral Home and Saturday 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the Church prior to services. Listen to service
