Landell "Lanny" A. Westerberg, 77, of Grace passed away on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 in Pocatello, Idaho. Lanny was born September 30, 1935 in Logan, Utah. He was raised in Niter, ID and went to school in Grace, ID until moving to Preston where he graduated from High School. Lanny purchased a farm in Niter and also owned range land and a large herd of sheep. he married Pamela Tyler on June 16, 1967. He was the Director of the Wool Pool for several years before selling his sheep in 1972 and purchasing dairy cows. He also had beef cattle and enjoyed his draft team. Often taking them to parades and competitions, this was a love he shared with the family. Lanny was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and held many positions throughout the years including organist. He is survived by his wife of 45 years Pamela "Pam", daughters Laurie (Jason) Hamp, Linda (Tracy) Clark, Lisa (Garey) Lacey and sons Layne (Kelly) Westerberg, Larin Westerberg and 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father August F. "Ferd" Westerberg, mother Aileen Westerberg and an infant son Leon Alma and a nephew Kip Rindlisbaker. Services will be held on Monday, June 17, 2013 at Noon at the Thatcher-Williams Ward Chapel in Niter. The family will visit with friends on Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Church and on Monday morning from 10:30-11:30 a.m. prior to services. Burial will be in the Grace Cemetery. Listen to Service:
