LaVora Bitton White, 89, of Soda Springs passed away on Wednesday, February 3, 2016. She was born on December 14, 1926 in Soda Springs, Idaho the daughter of Louis Bingham Bitton and Eva Elizabeth Balls Bitton. LaVora was raised in Lago and graduated from Grace High School, she was in the first graduating class at the new high school. She married Loyal Junior White on March 17, 1947 in the Salt Lake Temple in Utah. They lived in Lago for 8 years then they moved to the ranch in Cleveland, ID where they lived for 42 years. In 1997 they retired and moved to Soda Springs. LaVora is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and has served in many callings including Primary teacher for many years and also a visiting teacher. She worked in the hot lunch program at Thatcher and Grace schools for 23 years. LaVora loved her family and following their activities was her main hobby. She also enjoyed traveling and taking many trips. She is survived by her husband Loyal Junior White of Soda Springs, ID, and three sons, Steve and Tamra White of Grace, ID, Curtis and Kathleen White of Soda Springs, ID, Lynn and Radean White of Grace, ID. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and two brothers, Duane and Lovene Bitton, Keith and Judy Bitton. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Junior Bitton. Services will be held on Monday, February 8, 2016 at Noon at the Thatcher/Williams Ward Chapel in Niter. Family will visit with friends on Monday from 10-11:30 a.m. at the church prior to services. Burial will be in the Grace Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to the Huntsman Cancer Institute. Listen to service
