William Layne Godfrey, 45, of Soda Springs passed away at his home on Saturday, November 24, 2012. Layne was born on July 26, 1967 in Montpelier, Idaho the son of William Lee and Gayla Mae Barger Godfrey. He graduated from Soda Springs High School in 1985. Layne had lived in Granger, UT for 5 years and Layton, UT for 22 years and in Soda Springs, ID. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, 4 wheeling, camping and loved the outdoors. Layne is survived by his parents, Lee and Gayla Godfrey of Soda Springs, ID, and a sister, Jana and Dan Tuttle of Layton, UT. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Reuben and Hermoine Godfrey, Bill and Retta Barger, and an aunt Colleen Potter, a cousin Matt Petterborg, an aunt Colleen Carpenter, an uncle Ross Godfrey. Services will be held on Thursday, November 29, 2012 at Noon at the Soda Springs Bailey Creek Chapel (361 South 3rd East). The family will visit with friends on Wednesday evening from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Sims Funeral Home and on Thursday morning from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Church prior to services. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery in Soda Springs. LIsten to service:
