Leann Preece, 65; passed away peacefully and surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, October 13, 2021.

She was born on June 27, 1956 in Laketown, Utah to Melvin and Janean Petersen. Leann married Bob Munson on June 14, 1974 in Laketown, Utah and eventually moved to Southeast Idaho to raise their four children: three sons and one daughter. They later divorced after 19 years together.

On December 8, 1995, she married Dean Preece and his children, Lisa, Erin and Matthew in Soda Springs, Idaho. Leann became a widow when Dean passed away on August 9, 2018.

Leann was a loving sister, mother, grandmother, and friend. She enjoyed riding horses as a young adult, spending time with her family, shopping for her children and grandchildren. Leann loved to visit on the phone and Facetime with family and friends, planting flowers, and spending time with her four dogs (Annie, Aussie, Tiny and Zoe). She unconditionally loved her family, and grandchildren who were her joy in life! Leann will be deeply missed by those who knew her!

Leann is survived by her children; Brandon (Lynette) Munson, Kimberly Munson, Blake (Heidi) Munson, and Brad (Jessica) Munson, Lisa (Scott) Rowley, Erin (Anita) Preece, and Matt (Connie) Preece. Her grandchildren; Dakota Munson, Whitney (NyKee) Passey, Kaden Wellard, Tayja Munson, Payton Lish, Brennan Wood, Zachary Munson, Ryan Munson, Alysa, Lily, Zipporah, lszak, Collin and Abigail. Her great-grandchildren; Kallie, Henlee, and newest addition, Kassidie.

She is also survived by her mother, Janean Petersen and siblings; Terrie (Dale) Goodwin, Jolyn (Dave) Stults, Bonnie (Elwin) Dana, Gloria (Steve) Childs, and Lane Petersen. She was preceded in death by her father, Melvin, husband, Dean, one brother, Glen Petersen, and one niece, Tamie Ames.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at Soda Springs Fairview Cemetery,148 South Main Street, Soda Springs, ID. The family will meet with friends from 12:30 to 1:30 PM viewing; prior to the graveside service at Sims Funeral Home on 139 East 2nd South, Soda Springs, Idaho.
