Lois Gilbert Rindlisbaker, 95, of Bancroft, passed away January 7, 2009 at the Spring Creek Manor in Soda Springs.
She was born November 30, 1913 at Whitney, Idaho the daughter of James Harris and Jennie Swainston Gilbert. The family moved from Whitney to Bancroft where Lois was raised and educated. She had also attended Ricks College.
Lois married James Russell Rindlisbaker, April 4, 1934 in the Logan LDS Temple. Russell passed away August 24, 1991.
She was a member of the Bancroft LDS Ward. She had held numerous ward and stake leadership positions.
She had been a 4-H leader for numerous years and traveled throughout the state to judge county and state fairs.
She was an exceptional seamstress and loved her beautiful flowers, especially her roses.
Lois is survived by 2 sons and 1 daughter and their spouses; Terry Gilbert and MarJean Rindlisbaker; Leon G. and Candace Rindlisbaker, all of Bancroft, ID; and Geniel and Harold Rigby, Spring, Texas. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, 1 brother and 3 sisters; Sidney Swainston and Joy Gilbert, Orem, Utah; Rosa Rindlisbaker, Blackfoot, ID; Ina and Harold Lilenquist, Pocatello, ID and Ludean and Wesley Maughn, Logan, UT. She was also preceded in death by a son James Russell Rindlisbaker Jr. and grandsons Barton Jay Rindlisbaker and Kip Leon Rindlisbaker, 2 brothers and 3 sisters.
Funeral services were conducted on Monday January 12th at Noon at the Bancroft LDS Chapel with Bishop Ken Christensen officiating. Burial was in the Bancroft Cemetery.
