Lorin L. Rasmussen, 73, of Soda Springs, passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2015. Lorin was born on May 30, 1941 in Weston, Idaho, the son of Jesper and Aramitha Briggs Rasmussen. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Lorin married RuthAnn Rasmussen on July 7, 1961 in Weston, Idaho. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family, especially his grandkids and great-grandkids. Lorin is survived by his wife RuthAnn Rasmussen of Soda Springs; two sons and one daughter, Marvin and Stacey Rasmussen, Soda Springs; Blair and Stephanie Rasmussen, Soda Springs, and Julie Lawless and Gary Wilson, Wichita, Kansas. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, Kayla & Derek Vranes, Keith and Sara Rasmussen, BriAnn Lawless, Chelsey Rasmussen, Kiersten Rasmussen, Brittanee Rasmussen and 3 great-grandchildren Drayton Vranes, Timaree Vranes, Colt Rasmussen and two sisters, LaRue Stone and Elda Petersen. He was preceded in death by a son, Clair J. Rasmussen, a brother, Howard Rasmussen and a sister, Lucille Rasmussen. Services will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at Noon at the Soda Springs LDS Stake Center. The family will visit with friends on Saturday morning from 10-11:45 at the church prior to services.
