Lucile lived in Salt Lake City until she graduated from Granite High School in 1949. She married Marvin Earl Preston on June 16, 1950 in the Salt Lake City Temple. They were later divorced. Together they have four sons and one daughter. After marriage, they moved to Prairie City Oregon for one year, returned to Utah where they made their home in Lehi for 19 years then moved to Snowville for a year and then on to Raft River, Idaho. In 1972 they moved to Pocatello, and this is where Lucile lived the remainder of her life. Lucile was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a faithful visiting teacher, and taught in the auxiliaries of the church. The majority of her teaching was with the little toddlers in the nursery and the 3-5 year olds in Primary. She was an awesome teacher. How she loved those little ones. Many of her students have contacted her over the years, sharing their memories of her and thanking her for the influence she had in their lives. She taught the Gospel of Jesus Christ to her children and her home was filled with a sweet spirit. She was blessed with a beautiful voice. She took singing lessons while in high school and was called upon to sing at many functions for many years and she rejoiced in her ability. She graced our lives with song. We look forward to the day that we will hear her sing again. Lucile was a fine seamstress. She loved watching Jazz basketball, tennis and was an avid reader. She collected and shared her beloved dolls and paper dolls. Lucile is survived by her sons: Earl Preston (Gloria), Clint Preston (Sandijo), Kelly Preston (Lori), Sam Preston (Anne), and her daughter, Marcile Minor (Bill) and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
