Obituary

LuJean Kingsford Harris, 76, of Soda Springs, passed away Friday January 2, 2009 at the Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello.

She was born August 9, 1932 at Preston, Idaho the daughter of Dee and Phyllis Whitehead Kingsford.

She married Riley D. Harris, November 17, 1950 in the Logan LDS Temple. Riley passed away December 7, 2004.

LuJean was raised on the farm at Cove, Utah. The family later moved to Franklin, ID. She had also lived in Ogden, Utah, Preston, Idaho, moving to Soda Springs in the 1950's. She was a graduate of Preston High School.

She was an active member of the Soda Springs LDS 8th Ward. She had held many positions; Sunday School Teacher, active in Relief Society, building scheduler and ward librarian.
She had worked for many businesses in the area throughout her life, including Evans Sport Center and the most recent was Quick Stop.

She loved playing cards, going for rides in the mountains and enjoyed time with friends and family.

LuJean is survived by 2 sons and 2 daughters and their spouses; Brett and Terri Harris, Chubbuck, ID; Jason and Michelle Harris, Soda Springs, ID; Lynette and James Harris, Cedarville, CA and Lee Ann Perry, Chewelah, WA. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, a brother and a sister; Deon Kingsford, Franklin, ID and Una Roskelley, Ogden, UT. She was also preceded in death by a son Riley "Butch" Harris.

Funeral services were conducted on Friday, January 9th at Noon at the Hooper LDS Chapel with Bishop Alan Skinner officiating. Burial was in the Fairview Cemetery.

The Family suggests donations may be made to the Shriner's Hospital.
