Lynn M Stoor, 76, of Soda Springs, Idaho, returned to his Heavenly Father Friday, September 12, 2014 at the Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello, Idaho, surrounded by family.

Lynn was born June 24, 1938 in Soda Springs, Idaho, the son of Budd and Elaine Stoor. He was a lifetime resident of Wayan and Soda Springs, Idaho. He graduated in 1956 from Soda Springs High School. After graduating Lynn was employed at Monsanto for 40 years with a degree in Analytical Chemistry.

Lynn married Bonnie Chatterton in 1956. They were later divorced.

On February 22, 1986 Lynn married the love of his life, Vickie Lynne Watkins, in Soda Springs, Idaho.

Lynn was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Lynn had a passion for learning and always strived to further his education, and was one of the greatest pranksters ever. He enjoyed photography, lapidary work, hunting, fishing, gardening, traveling and spending time with his family. One of Lynn's most memorable trips was to Japan, China and Korea with his wife Vickie. Lynn was a loving father and grandfather.

Lynn is survived by his loving wife, Vickie Watkins Stoor of Soda Springs, ID, and three daughters, Tamara Lynn and Randal Hed of Tremonton, UT, Bonnie Denise and Gary Zimmerman, of Garden Valley, ID, Shelly Ann and Marcus Young of Boise, ID, two step-daughters, Shauna LaRee and Tracy Morgan of Soda Springs, ID, Alison Nichole and Mike Price of Santiago, Chile. He is also survived by 1 brother Jerry Wayne Stoor of Wayan, ID, 10 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents Budd and Elaine Stoor, 1 sister, Bonnie Lou Croshaw and 1 step-son, Lance Jay Lish.


Services will be held on Friday, September 19, 2014 at 1 p.m. at the Soda Springs LDS Stake Center. The family will visit with friends on Friday morning from 12-12:45 at the Church prior to services. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery in Soda Springs.
