Mada Jensen Smith, 89, of Bancroft passed away Sunday, June 7, 2015. Mada was born on September 20, 1925 in Lund, Idaho. She graduated from North Gem High in 1939. Mada lived all but the last four years of her life in Chesterfield and Bancroft. She married Delmo Smith on June 15, 1943 in Soda Springs, Idaho. Delmo passed away on December 6, 1999. Mada was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She taught 4-H sewing and knitting and worked many years in the pay window at the Caribou County Fair. She was a member of the Idaho Cow Belles Association. She also was a member of the Bancroft Pinochle Club for over 50 years. She loved to sew, knit and crochet and many other crafts. Mada is survived by her three sons, Loren Smith of Chesterfield, ID, Eldon and Katie Smith of Lava Hot Springs, ID, Dean and Sherry Smith of Bancroft, ID, 7 grandchildren & 15 great-grandchildren and one sister, Connie Maxwell of Pocatello, ID. She was preceded in death by her husband Delmo, a son Kent, and a daughter-in-law Janet Smith, two sisters, Va Loie McLain and Marelda Barfuss. Services will be held Friday, June 12, at 11 a.m. at the Bancroft LDS Chapel. Family will visit friends Friday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the Church prior to services. Burial will be in the Bancroft Cemetery. Listen to service
