Obituary
Margaret (Margie) Mattson Wheelwright, 78, of Sandy, Utah passed away Monday, November 5, 2012 at a Care Center in Salt Lake City.
Margaret was born June 17, 1934 in Ogden, Utah the daughter of Sherman R. and Mae Morris Schofield Mattson. She was raised and educated in Ogden, living on Chester Street with her parents and 9 brothers and sisters.
She married Ralph William Wheelwright, February 2, 1952 in Ogden. Ralph passed away in December of 1986 in Long Beach, CA. They lived in Long Beach, for 40 years where they raised their 3 children. After Ralph passed away, Margaret moved to American Fork, Utah to be closer to family and dear friends. In 2005, she moved to Sandy with her daughter Ronie to help her with "Ronie's Love Birds".
She had worked for McDonnell Douglas, Triple A Accurate Roofing and various other bookkeeping jobs.
She enjoyed ceramics, reading and country line-dancing.
She was a member of the V F W Ladies Auxiliary.
Survivors include 2 daughters: RonaLeigh (Ronie) Wheelwright of Sandy, Mae Wheelwright of Olympia, Washington, 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren 2 sisters; Phyllis and Fred Handsaker of Salt Lake City and Gwen Wilson of North Ogden also many nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by a son Ralph William "Bill" Wheelwright Jr; 4 sisters and 3 brothers.
Graveside Services will be conducted on Thursday, November 8th at 2:00 P.M. at the Ogden City Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday at the Lindquist Ogden Mortuary (3408 Washington Blvd.) from Noon until 1:30 prior to leaving for the Cemetery.
