Margo Lou (Hill) May, 78, passed away on April 24, 2021 at her home in Pocatello, Idaho, surrounded by family. It was only 94 days after losing her husband Eldred.
She was born August 13, 1942 in Spokane, Washington. She was the oldest of five children born to Robert F. Hill and Mona (Hymas) Hill.
Margo grew up and attended school in Grace Idaho, graduating from Grace High in 1960. She then attended Grimms Business School in Pocatello where she met her future husband Eldred Lionel May. They were married July 21 st , 1962. Their marriage was later solemnized in 1972 in the Logan Utah LDS Temple. They had two sons, Robert Eldred and Andrew Simpson. They made their home in Grace, Idaho, where they lived for over 50 years.
For several years Margo worked in banking where she worked for several different banks. When she left banking, she started working in her favorite endeavor as a librarian at the Grace Public Library. She loved to read and help others to enjoy the passion of books, especially the children. She always liked talking with all the people who came into the library, where no one was a stranger.
Margo was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and enjoyed many various callings. She served in the Relief Society, as the Ward Librarian, but especially enjoyed her time serving in the Primary.
Above all, Margo loved her family and friends. She cherished hearing all of their news and telling anyone she could about them.
She was preceded in death by her parents Robert F and Mona Hill and her husband of over 58 years Eldred May
She is survived by her sons Robert (Cherrie) of Poulsbo, WA, and Andrew (Whitney) of Preston, ID, her siblings; Lynne (Mike) Jones of Pocatello, ID, Jeffrey (Janet) Hill of Riverton, UT, Jennifer (Kip) Panter of Smithfield, UT and April (Kevin) Smith of Grace, ID, along with 6 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews, who will all miss her.
Services will be held at the Grace, Idaho LDS Stake Center May 1 st at 11:00 am. Family will visit with friends Saturday at the Stake Center from 9 – 10:30 prior to services with internment at the Grace Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the caretakers and staff at Brookdale Senior Living for their love and care. She truly loved them and was always treated with the greatest respect.
