Marian Kelson Gooch, 84; of Soda Springs, Idaho passed away Thursday, January 14, 2010 in Pocatello, Idaho at the Portneuf Medical Center.
Marian was born on January 20, 1925 in Weston, Idaho the daughter of Harold A. and Ila Ann Hyde Kelson.
She graduated from West High School. She had lived in Ogden, UT; Salt Lake City, UT; Bountiful, UT; Woods Cross, UT. and Soda Springs, ID.
She Married John "CY" Gooch on December 12, 1940 in Ogden, Utah. "CY" passed away on July 24, 1988.
Marian was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She had served as Visiting Teacher and loved doing compassionate service.
She had served as secretary in the Democratic Party in Bountiful, UT. and was a member of the Disaster Response Team in Bountiful, UT. She was also a member of the D.U.P. Meadow Mill Crossing Camp and Woods Cross Singles.
Marian enjoyed her grandchildren very much. She also loved crocheting, taking care of others and spending the winter months in Arizona with her husband.
She is survived by three daughters, Judy and Ron McKinstry of Glendale, AZ; Jo Anne and Paul Brown of South Jordan, UT; and Marian and Ed Keller of Soda Springs, ID.
Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren and one brother Dean L. and Anita Kelson of Layton, UT.
She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents and two brothers Leon and Rex.
The Family visited with friends on Thursday, January 21, 2010 from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Spring Creek Manor in Soda Springs, ID. (425 Spring Creek Dr.).
Funeral Services were held on Saturday, January 23, 2010 at 2 P.M. at the Russon Brothers Mortuary in Bountiful, UT (295 N. Main). Burial was at the Bountiful City Cemetery.
