Marilyn Evans Perkins, 73, of Soda Springs, passed away June 14, 2009 at the Bear Lake Memorial Hospital. She was born September 19, 1935 in Soda Springs to Alma Henry and Idella Mae Stoor Evans.

She attended elementary school in Soda Springs and graduated high school in Idaho Falls in 1953. She attended Idaho State University where she was majoring in Elementary Education.

Marilyn married Delvin Duane Perkins on September 16, 1955 in Soda Springs. Delvin passed away September 10, 2006.

She was the office manager & bookkeeper for Perk's Electric Service, Inc. from 1965 to 2000.

Marilyn was a member of Eastern Star. She liked to bowl and enjoyed picnics with family. Family was very important to her and she always had a smile and encouraging word for everyone.

Marilyn is survived by 2 sons and 2 daughters; Wayne (Dawn) Perkins, Soda Springs; Alan (Carolyn) Perkins, Soda Springs; Delene Moore, Soda Springs, ID; Lynette Leigh, Cedar City, UT, also 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and a brother, Richard Evans.

Memorial services were conducted on Thursday, June 18, 2009 at 11:00 am at the Soda Spring LDS Stake Center.

Family suggests donations be made to the Shriners Hospital.
