Marjorie Louise Rhoades, 86, of Soda Springs, passed away Monday, November 3, 2008 at Spring Creek Manor in Soda Springs.
She was born April 18, 1922 at Rifle, Colorado the daughter of Rodney Jay and Mabel Calvin West.
Marjorie married Nelson Pratt Rhoades, June 15, 1938 in Auburn, California. He passed away June 5, 1962.
Marjorie lived the majority of her life in California, moving to Idaho in 2002.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She was a member of the United Rescue Grange; she enjoyed gardening, fishing and being outdoors. She was known by many as "Auntie Marj" and was always there when you needed her.
Marjorie is survived by a son and 2 daughters; Roy and Karen Rhoades, Pine Grove, CA; Marjorie and Norman James, Pleasant Grove, CA and Sue and Bruce Bennett, Soda Springs, ID
Also surviving are 5 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
She was also preceded in death by 5 sisters and 2 brothers; Cora Leyhe, Leslie McGuffin, Tina Lee, Mabel Butler, Ruby Hooper, Amos West and Earl West.
Cremation services have been conducted. Interment took place in the Westwood Hills Memorial park in Placerville, CA.
Memorial Services were conducted at Spring Creek Manor located at 425 Spring Creek Drive on Monday, November 10 at 2:00 p.m.
