It is with great sadness that the family of Martha Jane Cook, announces her passing on June 22, 2019 at the age of 62 at her home in Lava Hot Springs Idaho.
Martha Jane was born in August 1956, in Morgan City, Louisiana. During her lifetime she lived in many places, some of which include Michigan, Wyoming, Southern Georgia, and Idaho. With the majority of her years spent in Wyoming and Southern Georgia.
Martha loved living in the South. She loved the woods, the dirt roads, the food, the pace of life, and most of all she loved her home by the river, close to her parents, whom she cherished.
In 2013 Martha moved from Georgia to Idaho in order to be closer to her two sons, who were the light of her life and what she was most proud of. She loved being a mother and also a Grannie. Her greatest treasures in life were her children, her grandchildren, and her numerous nieces and nephews.
Martha was a free spirit, who was full of life and lived hers to the fullest. She was adventurous, courageous, and passionate. She loved to create and had a knack for making any space feel like home.
Martha Jane had a beautiful smile that will be dearly missed but her memory will be forever in the hearts of everyone who loved her. She is survived by her sons, Anthony Lee Cook and his wife Natalie of Perry Utah, and Robert Haze Cook and his wife Vestal of Lava Hot Springs, Idaho; 8 grandchildren, Georgia, Minnarett, Chad, Savannah, Jackson, Shirley Jane, Joanna, and Caroline; one sister, Nora Jene Ramsey of Montpelier Idaho; two brothers, Johnny E. Delk and his wife Joan of Monticello Florida, and Joseph L. Delk Jr. and his wife Dana of Uvalda Georgia.
Martha was preceded in death by her daughter Joanna Lee Cook; parents Joseph L. Sr. And Hazel L Delk; and sister Ernestine D. Pope.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, June 29, at 11 a.m. at the Lava Hot Springs Cemetery.
