Marva Hopkins Christman, 90 of Orem, Utah passed away Thursday, August 31, 2017. Marva was born on January 10, 1927 in Soda Springs, Idaho the daughter of Alma Reber and Myrintha Tolman Hopkins. She was raised in Soda Springs, ID and graduated from Soda Springs High School as Valedictorian, and then attended BYU Provo. Marva married Albert Bennion Christman on July 10, 1946 in the Logan, Utah LDS Temple. They raised their family in Soda Springs. They moved to Orem, Utah in 2002. She was an active lifetime member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and had served in primary much of her life and also served as ward librarian. She also served as a full time missionary with her husband to Ireland, Dublin Mission: Kentucky, Louisville and Temple Square Mission. She is survived by her husband Albert B. Christman, and three sons and five daughters, Vivan Christman of Baltimore, MD, Odell (Tami) Christman of Soda Springs, ID, Van (Ellie) Christman of Rexburg, ID, Merriola (Wally) Black of Layton, UT, Alberta Loken of Vidor, TX, Naoma (Lorey) Draper of Orem, UT, Coleen (Bart) Benson of Grace, ID, Tammie (John) Applegarth of Herriman, UT. She is also survived by 34 grandchildren, 77 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild, two brothers, Loyal Hopkins, Clifford Hopkins and a sister Fern Nelson. She was preceded in death by a son, Marvin Christman, and three sisters, Leora, Esther and Phyllis. Services will be held on Friday, September 8, 2017 at 11 a.m. in Orem, UT at the Cascade Stake Center. Family will visit with friends on Thursday evening also at the church from 6-8 p.m. and Friday morning from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to service. A Service will also be held on Saturday, Sept. 9 at 11 a.m. in Soda Springs, Idaho at the Bailey Creek Chapel. Family will visit with friends from 9-10:30 a.m. at the church prior to service. Burial will be in the Soda Springs Fairview Cemetery. Listen to service
