Mary Tompkins passed peacefully in her sleep on Friday, 3 November 2023 in Soda Springs.

Mary was born on 11 December 1959 in a small East Texas town to Mary Lou and Jack Jeans, and through all her adventures, it seems fitting that she went exactly the way she wanted to, with her dog, in her own place, in her bed, in Idaho, and in Peace. She will be missed by her family. Son Corey, grandsons Clayton and Anthony. Brother and Sister-in-law, Daniel and Paula Jeans, and their clan of nieces and nephews Lance. April, Angel, Susi, Julian John Daniel, Slade, Evelyn, Justin, Abel Amidee, Layla, Clark, Bruce, Ramona Olive, and Archer. And her cousins in Kentucky that she dearly loved, Doris and Robert Burr, and their family.

Mary kept the rhythm of life to her own beat on her own drum, her grandfather "MC" Chapman Swearingen, taught her a love of the land that she cherished till her last days with us. She absolutely loved anything outdoors. Mary was a proud Alumni of Nederland High School where she excelled in sports and with Utah State and her degree in Physical Education.
